A gentle, evidence-based approach

There's no single "right" way to help a baby sleep, I don't work to a script and I don't use the Cry-It-Out Method. I look at your baby's age, temperament and your family's routine and talk through options that fit your family: practical, evidence-based and judgement-free. I've lived the broken nights myself, alongside the day and night rhythms of my own two children.

Questions families ask

Is this in person or online?

Online, by video call. Nurture Nurse also offers in-home postnatal care across the Cotswolds and North Wiltshire, but sleep and settling support is available by video call wherever you are in the UK.

Do you do sleep training or controlled crying?

I favour gentle, responsive approaches and I do not use the Cry-It-Out method. Each child and family are unique and there are situations where a slightly more controlled method may be warranted, however I work in collaboration with each family and will only suggest this style of technique if appropriate and everyone is in agreement. In general approaches used are gentle.

What ages do you support?

From newborn through to age 5 predominantly, but if you have a specific concern with a slightly older child that you would like to discuss, feel free to contact me and I will see if I can help. What I focus on changes with age as your baby's sleep changes with age, but the approach is the same: practical and evidence-based.

What happens on the free call?

Twenty minutes, video or telephone. You tell me what's happening with your baby's sleep, I ask a few questions and share initial thoughts, and if ongoing support would help, I'll explain what that looks like and what it costs. No pressure either way.

What are your qualifications?

I'm a Registered Children's Nurse with an MSc in Nursing Science from the University of Nottingham and over 15 years of NHS experience, including seven years as a Children's Respiratory and Sleep Specialist Nurse. I'm also a mother of two.

How much does the sleep support cost?

Sleep support starts from £195, a one-off charge, not a subscription. Every family starts with a free 20-minute call first, where I'll confirm exactly what's included and what it would cost for your family, so there's no cost to finding out.

Tell me about your baby's sleep

A few lines about what's happening at bed and nap times is plenty to start with. I'll be in touch shortly with a link to book a time that suits you.
